Tipton’s Lee Glover is wary of the threat of unknown quantity, Chris Adaway, when the pair go head-to-head for the British Masters Featherweight Title at Walsall Town Hall on Saturday. The ‘Tipton Slasher’ was due to face former British, Commonwealth and European Champion, Esham Pickering, but the former World Title Challenger was forced to pull out with an injury. Hot prospect, Adaway, accepted the challenge, meaning Glover faces a different threat to the one originally posed.Pickering, despite his obvious pedigree, is coming to the end of his illustrious career. Adaway on the other hand enjoyed a stellar amateur career that saw him box for England and has recently turned his hand to the professional game. It’s a different test for Glover but one he is confident of passing with flying colours.
